Jackie Oates plays a Cornish tune set consisting of Rogue’s March, The Hills of Trencrom & Pebm Olva. Jackie is backed by James Budden on double bass, Mike Cosgrave on accordion and Tristan Seume on bouzouki.

She talks to Bright Young Folk about her new band, plans for the next Jackie Oates album, playing in sessions when she was young and why she’s settled in the South West of England.

Great stuff Jackie, Only you can make the 5 string lilt and swing so gently. And a hint of the reappearance of some more 5/4 timings. Can’t wait.
